History of the witch hunt

Centuries ago, Europe lived in a time in fear of royal witches. Which led to the witch hunt and its proper execution. Especially in Germany, Belgium, France, northern Italy, Holland, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. That's why in the book of Witch Hunts in the Western World) they claimed that millions of people died in Europe. Together, with the European colonies. As a result, there were millions of tortures, arrests, and interrogations.

The inquisition was one of the instructions, which was conceived by the Catholic Church in the 13th century. Since they were intended to convert heretics to Catholicism. In addition, the promotion to the repudiation of witches and hunting practices would be executed.

By December 1485, Pope Innocent VIII released a papal document called Summis desiderantes affectibus, condemning witchcraft. He also authorizes two inquisitors to combat the negative dawn. These were Jakon Sprenger and Heinrich Kramer, to come to an end to witches in Europe.

How was someone accused of being a witch?

Usually, 70% of the defendants were widowed women, who rarely had someone to defend them. Likewise, the poor, the old ladies, and the herbal vendors. No one was saved, it didn't matter if he were rich, political, royalty, man or woman, to consider them real witches.
The so-called "witches" were accused of all kinds of evils. Such as times of bad weather, bad harvests, etc.

How did a witch identify herd?

Certainly, suspicious women were strapped and sunk in cold water, supposedly blessed. That's why, if they sank, they were considered innocent and were taken out of the water. But, if they floated in the water, on the contrary, they were executed immediately. Another way to prove was that if the suspects were witches, they were weighed on a scale. Because they said the royal witches weighed nothing.

Another discarding practice was to look for the devil's mark. Because witches were said to covenant with the devil to have power over humans. For this reason, they were marked by the devil, as a signature of the agreement. The accused were then shaved in their entirety, in public in search of the mark, of having moles or warts. In addition, they were punctured and if they did not present any pain or bleeding, they were accused of witches and executed.

The Witches of Salem

During the period of 1692, 20 people were executed in the village of Salem, now the state of Massachusetts. Also, 200 arrested for crimes associated with witchcraft. Subsequently, Salem's trials lasted four years, jurors claimed a confession of error and pleaded for mercy. So, the villagers ensured that the witches' spirits manipulated the jurors by saying this. What I'm causing, a point of collective dementia.

The Blair Witch (Elly Kedward)

In 1785, Elly Kedward was charged. Because, he was accused of lying to several minors in his village, to draw their blood. Then she was expelled from the village, chained to a wagon and pushed into the woods, where she is supposed to have died.

Alice Kyteler

She is the oldest witch, of which any knowledge is available. She came from Ireland, she was a beautiful and sophisticated woman. That's why I always drag the fame of manipulating men so that they will satisfy their sexual cravings. Therefore, she was an imposing and independent woman, a very rare thing for the time. Since the women in that area were very sumius. Before serving his death sentence, he escaped England. And more never heard from her.

Royal sorceresses

These stories told the real witches of the world. Which, they were executed for their various practices, not common at that time. But the question that many ask themselves even in the present is that if witches still exist? That, it is a great mystery, that it will remain in the minds of many people.
