Self love is definitely something I struggle with so I created this spell jar to help. Spell jars are a beautiful form of intuitive magick. You can use any size or type of jar, just as long as it has a lid.
Write on the rose petals some of the things you love about yourself to strengthen the intentions of the jar and the ingredients ours using. You can substitute fresh lavender for a few drops of lavender essential oil if that’s all you have to hand.
This spell jar is best created during a waxing of full moon to add a boost of energy to your intentions. Making the jar on a Friday, the day of the week associated with Venus (the planet of love) will also help align your spell with extra planetary energy.
Place all the ingredients in a clean jar. All herbs must be 100% dry so the contents don’t mould. When layering up the ingredients, I find it best to start from heaviest and move up towards the lightest.
Burn a pink (or white) candle, the colour for self love, on top of the lid to completely seal it. Make sure you drop wax all round the seal of the bottle to close it.
Place it somewhere visible to act as a reminder to strengthen the intentions you made with the spell jar. If you use a small enough jar, you could also carry it around with you. Whatever feels right for you!
Keep your jar until you feel it has worked it’s magick or you feel its effect waning. Return the herbs to the Earth by burying them and cleanse the crystal so it can be used again.
