Necromancy. The art of calling dead. The darkest of the dark arts is, without doubt, necromancy, the old method of communication with the dead. Necromancy has to do with control of the spirits, and takes its name from the Greek words nekro, which means "dead" and mantia which means "divination".

Necromancy can be divided into two main branches:
Divination with ghosts and divination with corpses. The second method has led to the exhumation of corpses and theft of tombs for spooky spells certain wizards and witches considered necessary for the effective performance of the magical arts.
